About the University Heights Fall Festival

100% of Fall Festival proceeds help San Diego kids

All proceeds from University Heights Fall Festival help make it possible for the 530+ students at Alice Birney Elementary to experience classes in garden, dance, language and a full art, theatre, and music program, and more.

Despite their value, the these classes at Birney face a stark funding gap—they are not funded by the San Diego public school district.

The cost to sustain these classes each year is $400 per student, a daunting goal in a Title I school environment where at least 40% of Birney students come from low-income households.

Strong schools help build strong communities. Your support of the University Heights Fall Festival makes the University Heights/Hillcrest area an even more desirable place to live while directly igniting a world of discovery and creativity for local kids.

Through community support, we can share this load, guaranteeing that these essential programs continue to enrich every Birney student's education while strengthening our community.

Please accept our sincere appreciation for your support.
